A George IV silver sauce ladle, of plain typical form, hallmarked Edward Thomason, Birmingham 1822, length measures 6 1/2 inches (16 cm). Together with a pair of Georgian silver sugar nips, with ring handles, shell bowls and engraved initials, assumed London, maker's marks for Michael Plummer alongside the lion passant, and a small circular Dutch box with removable lid, beaded rims and flat chased scenes of figures outdoors, marked with Dutch assay marks. Gross weight 3.8 ozt (120.2 grams). (3).
