oblong and on four scroll-cast feet, the sides and back with pierced gallery and with an overall gadrooned border, later engraved with an inscription, with two silver-mounted cut-glass ink-bottles; Together With an associated silver-mounted fountain-pen 27.5cm wide, weighable silver 27oz 8dwt, 853gr (2) The inscription reads 'To A. Norman Dugdale From His Fellow Directors of The Manganese Bronze & Brass Co. Ltd. May 1909-June 1943'.

Fully marked on side and on neck mount of each bottle. Further part marked inside hinged cover. There is some wear to the marks but in general each is legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points and the engraved inscription. There are some chips to the glass bottles. The pen has not been tested. It has some wear and bruises. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
