A George V silver dish ring with blue glass liner.

A George V silver dish ring, the circular waisted form with pierced sides depiciting a bird and stylised dolphin amongst trailing flowers and foliage with scroll and shell motifs, and twin opposed vacant cartouches, with a blue glass liner. Hallmarked Jay, Richard Attenborough Co Ltd., Chester 1931. Diameter of base 8" (20.5cm), weight 20.09 ozt (624.8 grams).

Condition Report:
- Appears in good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Minor nicks and heavier contact marks to some areas, especially around edges.
- Seam line visible going all the way around the middle.
- Possible minor repairs along the seam line, a small darker patch visible on one of the cartouche.
- Surface rubbing to areas of the decoration with some slight loss of detail and flattening.
- Overall, the decoration appears in good order and has retained much detail.
- Hallmarks located to base rim, rubbed but clearly legible. Maker's mark with some partial distortion.
- Also stamped to underside with retailer's mark for Jays Oxford Street.
- Heavy blue glass liner with some minor nibbbles around the rim.
