A Georgian gentlemen's gold agate intaglio cameo ring,
with a pale buff coloured agate tablet, intaglio engraved with the head of a lady and a moth. The agate tablet, damaged, rub set to a plain shallow collet to tapered shoulders and a plain shank. In Georgian memorial jewellery the moth is representative of the soul. Tested as approximately 18ct gold. Head 16.50 x 14.20mm
