A Georgian silver mote spoon, of typical form with pierced bowl having vase of flowers detail to heel, and tapering stem to a spearhead terminal, bottom struck with lion passant and indistinct maker's mark, possibly WS, length 5.5 (14cm). Together with a smaller later example, hallmarked London 1916, and a Georgian sifter spoon, part hallmarks, assumed London probably 1786 with maker's mark I.B. Weight 1.35 ozt (42 grams). (3).
