With triangular iron-mounted wooden body (old medial split on both sides) covered in burgundy velvet (plush worn off), the front set with a parcel-gilt iron plate pierced and embossed with a bearded grotesque mask, drapery issuing from his mouth tied around the necks of griffin supporters, and surmounted by a winged cherub's head, top mount with tall conical nozzle and curved cut-off lever, associated looped belt-hook, and four small suspension mounts (one replaced, old rust patination)
