A German campaign sword, mid-17th century
Straight, single-edged blade with a double-edged point and fullers on both sides. Blade nicked and chipped. Iron basket hilt, the brass guard plate on the tierce side with repoussé decor (part missing). Thumb ring on the quarte side absent. Torsion-carved grip with traces of the original Turk's heads. Pear-shaped pommel with an offset riveted button. Length 107 cm.
