A German carved wood jardinière, late 19th century, in the form of two game birds, before a tree trunk, supporting an oval basket, carved with fruits, on oval base, 75cm high, the basket 63cm x 34cm

Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Old splits and cracks and losses to some elements, including one bird's beak, wing tip of one bird to the basket, and most notably to the wing of one of the standing birds, the pierced base of the basket with some losses also, The 'flowers' are associated and are removable, the liner with discolouration and corrosion consistent with age and use, Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition
