A German mace, mid-16th century

Seven-flanged head with inserted and copper-soldered flanges, the points reinforced with a quadrangular section. Acorn-shaped pommel screwed onto the top. Hollow-forged, slightly conical shaft with fine fluting. The grip area with spiral grooves, above pierced holes on both sides for the lanyard. Length 62.5 cm.
