A German mahogany bureau bookcase, late 18th century, 240cm high, 115cm wide, 60cm deepProvenance: Private collection removed from 9, Royal Crescent, BathCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses, some splits and cracks including to the sides and panelled doors. Chips, losses and some old repairs to veneers, mouldings and inlays.Upper section appears locked shut at time of report and therefor Dreweatts can make no comment guarantees as to the condition of this area.The key does operate the lock to the fall, however this is stiff and may require some attention. The interior fittings are present, there is no key to the central cupboard, but this element is open at time of report. The slide to the well is stuck in a semi-open condition, the handles to the drawers appear to be original as do the escutcheons throughout. One handle for the left hand loper drawer is detached but present with the lot.
