A German mail sleeve, ca. 1580
Replacement sleeve for a mail shirt, of riveted mesh in varying ring sizes. The shoulder attachment with axillary guard of rings with approx. 9 mm outer diameter. The slightly tapered sleeve with a slightly angled elbow section of rings with approx. 7.5 mm outer diameter. The slit cuff worked with a border of fine butted rings of approx. 5 mm outer diameter. A few minor flaws, the border partly loosened. Length 67 cm.
