In the 17th century style, the finial of the cup and cover modelled as George and the Dragon, the body embossed with rounded protrusions, standing on three figural feet, the goblets with similar decoration, the rims engraved with mythical scenes, all pieces housed in a wood case with an inset ivory plaque for D&J Wellby, height of cup and cover 44.5cm, weight 77oz.
