A German small-sword, circa 1600Sturdy double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section with narrow ricasso. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with s-shaped quillons, finger guards and curved guard ring on the obverse. Pierced guard plates on both sides, the one on the reverse well-replaced. The surfaces with finely engraved structure. Grip with copper wire wrap underneath iron guard bars, iron Turks’ heads. Pointed oval pommel with offset riveted finial and engraved structure.
