Condition Report: The letter opener in overall good condition, featuring finely modelled dual-headed eagle at pommel. Two small filled areas to tip of blade, with minute dings to edge of same. Two barely perceptible shallow cracks with subsequent minor separation to enamel at handle, one near hilt and other at applied arrow-and-wreath decoration. Some rubbing to gilt. Letter opener otherwise free from splitting or structural losses. Effaced marks throughout.
