A Greek red/orange glazed feeder vessel

A Greek red/orange glazed feeder vessel, c. 4th - 3rd Century BC, the body squat with vertically orientated loop handle and small, tapered spout. The small interior hole feeding the spout would have meant the baby would have had to suck the contents while feeding, presumably with some kind of nipple placed over the end. H: 3 in (7.6 cm). Light deposits. Ex German private collection acquired in the 1970's.
