Qing Dynasty, Qianlong / Jiaqing Period, 1790-1800
清乾隆 / 嘉慶 1790至1800年 粉彩描金字母紋盤一組五件
comprising a pair of plates with sepia-decorated borders once inscribed with T. L. C. A. R. B. now erased, a soup plate inscribed in the center with T. H. A. B. within a grape border surmounted by a crest, a saucer and a plate inscribed with G. P. C. within a puce enameled mantled shield. 5 pieces.
diameter of largest 9 7/8 in.; 25.2 cm
Condition Report:
All in overall good condition except one sepia decorated dish with several very short hairlines to the rim, possibly from firing, and the other sepia decorated dish with an area of rim chips. Overall each piece with wear to the surface and minor firing imperfections.
