A Group of Two Art Glass Paperweights, Late 20th Century
A group of two studio art glass paperweights, late 20th century. The first of spherical form with a heavily textured, pulled-thread exterior exhibiting iridescent metallic tones of purple, bronze, and green over a dark ground, terminating in a polished flat base. The second of ovoid, egg-shaped form in clear glass encasing stratified swirled inclusions in shades of amber, ochre, soft white, and sky blue reminiscent of an abstract geological landscape, finished with a flattened base. Neither example bears visible signatures or manufacturer marks.Height: 3 inches.
Condition
Both paperweights are in good condition, showing light surface wear and minor scratches to the undersides consistent with age and handling. Free of chips, cracks, or restorations.
