late 19th-early 20th century, the first a reverse silver gilt glass inkwell, bell form, oval cut glass waist round gilt brass below a hinged lid top with engraved scrolling motifs, appears unmarked (4 x 5 x 5 in.) (scratches to underside); the second a tapered trapezoidal form, with an and silverplate round hinge lid (3 x 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 in.) (some hairlines and glued repair to lid; small chips to corners); the third a pair of crystal inkwells, cubic forms with cut geometric designs to lid and undersides, with brass mount hinges (3 1/4 x 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 in.) (some scattered scratches and small chips); the fifth in crystal, cubic form with swirl wheel designs to sides, cut star foot, round brass lid with low relief scrolling designs (3 1/2 x 3 x 3 in.); the sixth also in crystal, a dome form, with sterling silver lid, mark of William Comyns & Sons Ltd., London, 1903 (2 x 1/2 x 3 5/8in.) (some denting to lid; small chips to base rim, and scratches to underside); the seventh a sterling silver capstan inkwell, foliate form, rubbed maker's mark, Sheffiield, 1918, British registry number 571366 (loose hinge, scattered light scratches, glass insert with loss).
