A helmet with face mask

dating: 20th Century provenance: Turkey, Iron, conical skull, painted in gold, reinforced with four bands engraved with floral motifs, spaces between them engraved with cartouches with Arabic inscriptions. In the front part a blackened mask, engraved with floral and geometrical motifs, pierced eyes. The border of the mask and the helmet's base protected with iron scales, shaped as plumage. Beautiful piece, replacement of a type of great charm, the original is impossible to find. height circa 45 cm.
