A Herend Apponyi (Chinese Bouquet) pattern hand painted porcelain part dinner and tea service, 20th century, blue-printed factory marks, various letters and numerals, gilt-heightened in orange-red, decorated with sprays of flowers, ozier borders, comprising: eight dinner plates, eight starter plates, eight two-handled soup cups and eight saucers, eight cake plates, eight crescent plates, eight breakfast bowls, eight tea cups and saucers, eight coffee cups and saucers, two tea pots, a coffee pot, two milk jugs and saucers, a cream jug, two sugar bowls, a sauce boat and stand, a two handled double-lipped sauce boat, a ladle, two serving platters in sizes, three circular tureens and covers, an ice bucket, an oval two handled dish and a leaf-shaped bowl, the largest serving platter 40cm wide (a lot)
This service is in overall excellent condition with no apparent signs of use. Each piece bears a mark to the underside. Each coffee and tea pot and jug has its branches intact to the handles. Decoration and gilding is intact throughout, with only a very minor loss of gilding to one teapot cover, please see image for reference. One coffee can has very slight crazing to the handle, please see image for reference. A few dinner plates and tureens have minor wear to the footrims consistent with infrequent handling.
