Note: The first volume, The History of the Fifth Royal Gurkha Rifles, was owned by Lt. Colonel Leigh Alexander, former Chindit who served with Gurkha Regiments Second, Third and Fifth. He died in 1943 while serving in Burma. He is mentioned in Bernard Fergusson's book - "Beyond the Chindwin", and the six silvery metal spoons in this lot belonged to Lt. Colonel Leigh Alexander
