Single-edged straight Damascus blade is pattern-welded with a lot of layers. Broad flat fullers on both sides and richly etched ornamentation one side with deeply struck large maker mark. Cut and polished steel hilt. Strip knuckle-guard, convex shell, down-curved quillon with acorns at tips. Riveted wooden grip-scales. Matching by-knife with Damascus blade. Black leather scabbard with steel fittings and a hook. Austria or Germany, beginning of the 19th century, length 63 cm. Condition 2+
