A JADE 'MYTHICAL BEAST' CARVING AND A JADE 'HOUND' CARVING
Ming and Qing Dynasty
The seated beast facing forwards and with its tail flicked over the rear, the stone of grey-green and creamy-russet hue, an aperture running through the carving below the jaw; the recumbent hound modelled with tightly coiled tail and head turned slightly to the left, the stone of creamy hue with darker russet inclusions and veining.
The hound 6cm (2 3/8in) long. (2).
