A JAPANESE PATINATED METAL VASE LAMP, MEIJI PERIOD, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, with a flat fretwork detailed banded rim above a baluster form body with sides cast in deep relief and applied with paired sparrows and various auspicious birds foraging amidst blossoming apple tree branches, above a short compressed knob of flying cranes over a domed base with birds flying amidst flowing winds and raised on a conforming plinth ringed with stylized ruyi, mounted as a lamp. Height: 18 1/4" Diameter: 9"
Condition Report: Good condition with some light wear, a few dings, and surface buildup in crevices throughout. Needs rewiring.
