A Japanese Arita Kraak style V.O.C. Dutch East India Company dish
Edo period, 18th century
Decorated to the central reserve with the V.O.C. monogram surrounded by two phoenixes among fruiting peach and camellia inside a border of panels of bamboo, prunus, and peony, 22cm diameter.
Condition Report:
In good condition with minor scratches to the surface, tiny nibbles to foot rim commensurate with age. Firing imperfection including pitting, iron spots. Four spur marks to base.
