carved intaglio with a goddess and a cockerel beneath a gnarled pine tree, undercut foot, 21.3cm high; a Chinese carved hardwood standing figure of Guanyin, holding a vase, upon a lotus base in a darker wood, 34.5cm high; a Japanese carved bamboo and mother of pearl inlaid page turner carved with an immortal, 43.7cm long
Condition report:
brush pot: numerous vertical natural drying cracks
Guanyin: drying cracks -face, neck, and robes in particular. good patina
page turner: slight nibbles on tip edge. some minor "digs" on the reverse field.
