A Japanese katana, Edo periodBlade shinogi-zukuri, chu-kissaki, boshi with short kaeri. Fine itame-hada, notare hamon with large rounded choji and angular gunome, two-piece copper habaki. Nakago with two mekugi-ana, inscribed "Hoshu Ju Shigeyoshi Saku". Iron marugata tsuba. Fuchi kashira of shakudo and iron, respectively, with a blossom design (not matching). Tsuka wrapped in black cord over finely grained same, gilt menuki with plant décor. Black lacquered saya (small repairs) with copper fittings. Length K/M 68.8 cm, overall length 93 cm.Condition: II
