A Japanese silver presentation footed punch bowl, Shigemitsu

circa 1908

With two handles, double-walled bowl, and weighted pedestal foot, sides decorated with roses, chrysanthemums, and flags of Japan and the United States, foot inscribed with: "A duplicate of the trophy rowed for by the boats of the Imperial Japanese Navy and the American Fleet at their meeting at Yokohama, October 23rd, 1908", underside with stamped maker's marks, "jungin".
