She and a friend immediately hopped on a bus and arrived with the crowds that surrounded the back door of the radio station studio. While they waited, signed John Lennon "Mind Games" 45s were being sold for a $2.00 donation. She quickly raised her hand and purchased one. Moments later the DJ and John Lennon came out into the crowd, sending our writer into a frenzy as she realized she was within a foot of her hero.
