The tall momonari (peach-shaped) helmet with a central forward-facing flange and an exaggerated mabizashi covered in black lacquer and decorated with gold-lacquer crosses on the sides of the bowl and a cross of inlaid silver on the front below a crest of a circle flanked by stylized leaves in gold lacquer, the bowl fitted with a five-lame Hineno jikoro laced in blue and secured by gilt-metal chrysanthemum rivets
