A KAYAN-DAYAK MANDAU

Strong, single-edged blade, partially chiselled and pierced, richly decorated with brass eyes on one side, on the other side only toward the weak. Bone, embossed hilt of typical shape, the base with vegetable binding, the pommel with horsehair tufts; nice, wooden scabbard, partially embossed, decorated with horsehair, fut and fiber bands; an accompanying knife on the back with a long, wooden, engraved hilt.
