the deep bowl with wide rim and upturned edge, decorated in iron red, green, yellow, blue and black enamels, the central roundel with ho-o birds, bordered by roundels of coiled dragons interspersed among plum blossom, the exterior with further ho-o birds among plum blossom and bamboo among rockwork
