A Karl Malden Jacket from One Eyed Jacks
Paramount Pictures, 1961. A gray tweed jacket worn by Karl Malden as Sheriff Dad Longworth, with flap pockets and three button closure, bearing a Western Costume Co. label to interior right breast pocket, marked 'No. 2577-1 / Name Karl Malden', and stamped 'W.C.C. Double / PA #3' twice to interior lining, with a Western Costume barcode to interior right sleeve. Designed by Yvonne Wood. Post production alterations include the addition of brown piping to lower lapels and shortening of the jacket length.

After their successful turn in director Elia Kazan's A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), fellow Method actors and members of the famed Actors Studio Karl Malden and Marlon Brando appeared in this film about two partners in crime whose estrangement leads them on separate paths of righteousness and revenge. Originally set to be directed by Stanley Kubrick, this psychological Western became Brando's first and only directorial vehicle.© Alamy
