A Kashan lustre pottery dish with seated figure, Persia, 12th/13th century

of shallow form with gently everted flattened rim, on a short foot, decorated with a deep brown lustre with a central figure wearing a hat and spotted coat seated against a lustre ground with scrolls and leaves, the reverse with a blue glaze, old collectors' labels "Collezione Luigi Laura 17" and "Rhages"

23.5cm. diam.

Condition Report:
Broken and restored with associated craquelure to glaze and scratches, the lustre on lower section as shown in the photograph in the publication has recently been removed and cleaned, the old collection labels re-affixed to back, some slight discoloration in areas of break, small chips to foot, as viewed.
