A Korean elm and hardwood 'Tansu' chest, 20th century, in two parts, 113cm high, 118cm wide, 46cm deep Provenance: Private Collection, The Old Rectory, Gloucestershire Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useSome old splits and cracks, some chips and losses to the ebonised bandings, some chips and lossesThe handles appear to be original as do the locks, there is a key present and this appear so to operate the locks - these are quite stiff and a bit temperamental and would probably benefit from an oilThe drawer fronts appear to have been cleaned and scrubbed, there is some darker patina to the edges, the top is darker than the drawer frontsThis is lined with pine throughoutPlease refer to additional images for visual reference to conditionCondition Report Disclaimer
