A LARGE CHINESE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF CROWNED SHAKYAMUNI

明 銅鎏⾦寶冠釋迦摩尼坐像
Finely cast seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus pedestal with beaded edges, the right hand held in bhumisparsa mudra and the left in dhyana mudra. Wearing a pleated robe draped over the left shoulder and with incised hems. The serene face with finely lidded, downcast eyes below gently arched eyebrows, the full lips forming a calm smile, flanked by a pair of pendulous earlobes, wearing a pointed tiara. Ming Dynasty period.
