西藏 約十三世紀 木雕漆金獅紋護經板
This ornate and large Tibetan manuscript cover is carved in low relief with a central lion roundel surrounded by gilded, bifurcating vegetal scrolls. The composition is framed by a striking red lacquer and gold flame border. One edge is carved with Jambhala flanked by a donor, a protector, and an auspicious horse and mule. Closely related examples are HAR 12370 and 24122, as well as one sold at Bonhams, New York, 18 March 2013, lot 149.
