A LARGE GREY POTTERY FIGURE OF LOKAPALA
Early Tang Dynasty
Standing boldly with legs apart, one arm raised in a clenched fist, the other pointing downwards, clad in well-defined full armour with epaulettes at the shoulders, and an elaborate headdress, the face bearing a fierce expression, featuring bulging eyes, raised brows, and an aquiline nose, his feet trampling two small demons, raised on a short platform, traces of white and red pigments.
