A LARGE NASRID IVORY-OVERLAID WOOD PYXIS, SPAIN, 14TH CENTURY

eight-sided, the wooden body set with carved openwork ivory plaques designed with interlinking geometric stars, with two hinges, missing lid

18.5 by 15.5 by 15.5cm.

Condition Report:
The wood interior painted red with remnants of old woodworm, the ivory plaques with some hairline cracks, one with small break, some discoloration to the panel which would have had lock plate, further small nicks to extremities, as viewed.
