Large oval box, the cover, base and sides finely chased in four-colour gold with scenes in the manner of David Teniers the Younger against a horizontally reeded ground, on the cover three gentlemen seated at a table drinking and smoking a pipe while the third plays the flute, the base with a couple drinking, the front panel depicting a man playing the bagpipe with his dog sleeping nearby, the back features a young boy fishing, on each ends a music trophy and a harvest trophy, all the scenes framed by scrolling foliage forming cartouches enamelled en plein
