Condition Report:
This elegant secrétaire is in reasonable condition.The original marble top with minor marks and scratches consistent with age. There are shrinking cracks, marks and scratches as well as lifting to the veneer on the fall-front, which will require some attention and consolidation. The original tooled leather writing surface with signs of wear and tear and extensive ink stains and inscriptions, one reading 'Salmon', the other 'Theodore'. The key to the fall-front appears to be missing. The gilt-bronze mounts show minor tarnishing.
