Condition Report:
In conserved condition, with scattered marks, minor indentations and losses, a few small patches to veneer and old worm holes. A few small age cracks. Keyhole surrounds, locks and sabots replaced. Top has been slightly re-positioned, and moulded border edges possibly later. The later leather writing surface with scattered losses, tears, scuffs and minor staining all consolidated with a wax polish, some rubbing to the gilt tooled edge but generally well preserved. In sturdy condition and ready to use. Key present.
