With rectangular padded back, padded arms with bowed upholstered seat, the crest-rail sharply and finely carved with central berried acanthus, the frames carved with beading, guilloche, coin-pattern, acanthus and leaf-tips, on circular tapering stop-fluted legs headed by paterae and leaf-tips, upholstered in 18th century Beauvais tapestry depicting gardens, military trophies, and a grape-filled classical vase, suspended from festooned draperies on a beige ground, stamped ‘G. IACOB’, with inscribed ‘Baron Robert de Rothschild 5 – 6 – 19’ label, with stencil ‘50’ (three times), lacking central back leg, en suite with lots 119 and 120
