A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED PINK MARBLE MANTLE CLOCK, WORKS BY MOUGIN, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the love trophy finial cast as Cupid's flaming torch entwined with his bow and quiver of arrows centered by a ribbon tied berried laurel wreath, on a raised flaring rectangular cornice with beaded trim above a box form case, centering a circular engine turned and hinged bronze bezel with domed glass cover, opening to a white enameled dial enclosing quarter hour Arabic numerals and black Arabic hour numbers alternating delicate polychrome painted floral swags, surrounding reticulated gilt metal hands over twin key escapements reversing to a gilt hinged door opening to a brass mechanism with cover plate numbered 1255 and 46, stamped circular pastille "AD MOUGIN/DEUX MEDAILLES" centering a star, hung with a circular adjustable pendulum numbered 1255 and engraved R opposite A, flanked by exterior sides centering bow ribbon tied trailing fruit pendants over a leaf tip encadrement on a square form base raised on foliate cast toupie feet. Height: 11 3/4" Width: 6 1/4" Depth: 4 1/2" Dimensions: Condition Report: Good condition with some tiny negligible nicks along base edge and expected surface buildup in crevices.
