A Large Chinese Famille Rose Dish
Enamelled in a rich famille rose palette with a peacock and a peahen standing on a grassy hillock beside blue stylised rock work issuing a large pink peony, smaller flowers in gilt and colours growing alongside, all within a series of iron-red borders trailing similar blooms and interrupted by dark grey ground lappets edged in green leafy scrollwork. Period: Qianlong (1736‑1795). Diameter: 38 cm.
