Property from Suffield House, a David Adler Design: The Estate of Roland E. Casati, Lake Forest, Illinois European Furniture & Decorative Arts The eagle is probably a 19th century replacement. Appears in overall stable, attractive condition. The eagle associated with an area of loss to feather on wing tip, having a fairly even brown patina throughout with some areas of rubbing on top of wings near shoulders. The marble largely intact with a small triangular chip on front rim. Two screws on underside of marble base suggest two additional feet on far left and right sides of marble, no longer retained.
