Tapering beaker with a moulded rim decorated with repoussé flowers and acanthus surrounding 21 Saxon thaler coins bearing portraits of Prince Elector Johann Georg I and Johann Georg II dated between 1640 and 1660. The base inset with a further taler dated 1629. H 14 cm, weight 380 g.
Marks of Gottfried Schmidt the Elder, 1682 - 84.
