The bombé sides raised on a circular foot and cut-out in the form of five shaped ‘legs’ separated by openings of conforming outline, five holes above the ‘legs’ and below the foliate, everted rim, covered overall in an olive colour glaze. Period: Ming dynasty (1368‑1644). Diameter: 28 cm, Height: 19 cm.

Wladimir Simon Semcesen (1906‑1969) born in Austria Hungary, settled in Oslo, Norway in 1936. In the 1950’s and 1960’s before the Cultural Revolution in China, he acquired works of art in China that he brought back to Europe.
