after the model by charles cressent, early 20th century
the rectangular top with a gilt tooled leather writing surface above the shaped frieze fitted with three drawers and three opposing drawers, mounted with Bacchic masks at the sides, raised on cabriole legs mounted with female espagnolettes at the knees and terminating in hairy paw cast sabots.

In overall decent, stable, usable condition.
Old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Drawers open and close smoothly. Leather top with rubbing and wear to gilt border. Scattered areas of peeling to leather, with one approximately 2-inch loss to leather. Top not secured to body. Scattered age cracks and lifting to veneer. Three legs with larger cracks with possible repair where legs join body. Additional images available upon request.
