[ translate ]

retailed by tiffany & co., 19th century
having a putto finial above the segmented enameled dial with Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes, the morbier form case raised on short splayed legs, mounted throughout with C-scrolls, rocaille and floral decoration.
Height 93 inches.

Property from the Estate of Edward Steed, Chicago, Illinois

Note: originally shot in catalogue without putto form finial and left bronze mount as viewed. Both are retained, please see additional images.
Clock in overall decent, stable condition. Finish to exterior of hood and trunk with fairly even finish, having light to moderate surface wear consistent with age. Some chipping to veneers with minor areas of loss. Tight age split to trunk. All mounts appear present except for possible covers for the feet, with dirty patina through out. Glass to dial intact, dial itself intact but with a few tight hairline cracks. Lacking key for hood and trunk door, can not open hood door, door to trunk door removed.
Double spring movement appears mostly intact but unable to test. Flange which attached works to pendulum lacking, pendulum current hung with wire. No crank. Pack door to works split with only a section retained.
Additional images available upon request.
